The Potluck Picnic

As far as we at the Bay Ridge CSA are concerned, there’s nothing better than a few hours spent relaxing in the park, sharing good food with friends and fellow food lovers. And that’s why we’re hosting a potluck picnic in the park this weekend, and we’re inviting everybody to come along and join us!

Everybody attending the potluck is asked to bring along a dish to share with everyone, made from at least one ingredient from your CSA fuit, veggie or egg share from this week or last week. There’s no competition – just a chance to learn some great new recipes from each other, while getting to know your fellow CSA members.

The event is being held this Sunday (August 15) from 1 – 4pm, at the Vinland Park at 95th Street, deep within the Shore Road Park System. it’s a little bit more secluded than some of the other areas, and has a playground, a small sprinkler, a restroom and plenty of grass to sit on or trees to sit under. The weather forecast is for 83 degrees and partly cloudy – but just in case of rain, we’ll have the potluck at our Fourth Avenue Presbyterian Church pick-up location!

Whether it’s just you, or your entire extended family, bring some cups, plates and utensils, and spend some time eating and chatting with the rest of the Bay Ridge CSA community.
